What is CBD?
CBD (also known as cannabidiol) is a non-intoxicating component of hemp. We blend full-spectrum cannabidiol with nourishing plant oils to deliver unique benefits to skin. CBD won’t get you high—it doesn’t have the mind-altering properties of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Why is CBD good for skin?
CBD diffuses reactivity in skin—think redness, tightness, flaking, rough texture, dullness & signs of aging—by positively influencing skin's key receptors, telling them to do the right thing. Ongoing use helps soothe these stressors for calmer, healthier, more youthful skin.
Paula Begoun, Founder of Paula’s Choice Skincare
It’s very important to know that in order to be effective, a CBD product must actually contain cannabidiol. Only cannabidiol can locate specific sites within skin and tell them to diminish pollution and sun damage. The almost-immediate results include a stunning reduction (and prevention) of all signs of aging including discoloration, skin texture changes and redness.”

Is CBD legal?
Yes. Per the U.S. Farm Bill passed by congress in 2018, cannabidiol (CBD) sourced from industrial hemp is legal. CBD extracted from marijuana plants is not legal—unless you’re in a state that allows recreational or medicinal marijuana use.
Is CBD intoxicating?
No. CBD is not intoxicating because it doesn’t interact with cannabinoid receptors in the body the same way as Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the most well-known cannabinoid with an intoxicating effect.
